Jai Industries

If you head down towards the Ajit Mill Cross Road in Ahmedabad, you’ll find us at Jai Industries. We are right on the Rakhial Odhav Main Road, which is pretty much always loud with trucks and bikes passing by. The area is very industrial, so there’s a lot of dust and the sound of machinery everywhere you go. Our workshop is in the middle of all that. It’s a practical space with concrete floors and high ceilings to help with the Gujarat heat. We spend our days working on different projects, and there’s always the smell of metal or oil in the air. It’s not a clean-room environment, but it’s where the actual work happens. The staff here knows the machines inside out. We don’t have a marketing team or people in suits walking around. We’re usually in our work clothes, often with a bit of grease on our hands. The Rakhial road is a busy vein of the city, and we feel like a small part of that pulse. Sometimes we stand out by the gate just to catch a breeze and watch the traffic for a minute. It’s a tough environment when the summer hits 45 degrees, but we have our fans going and we keep at it. We just focus on the orders we have and making sure they are finished on time. There isn't much to it besides hard work and making sure the machines don't break down mid-shift.
