We work out of B 402 Prerna Apartment in the Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad. It’s a bit of a quiet spot, located right behind Sunrise Park. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels more like a home than a stiff office. Rajiv N Associates has been around for some time now. We spend our days mostly on structural plans and architectural drawings. There are usually three or four of us around a big table covered in maps and site notes. Vastrapur is a busy part of town, but once you get inside the building, it’s peaceful enough to actually think. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We handle the usual stuff—planning, permits, and checking on construction sites when they get started. It’s not a fast-paced environment, but we get the work done. Sometimes the printers act up right when we need a large sheet, and that’s always a headache. We drink a lot of tea while looking over blueprints. We’ve seen Ahmedabad grow a lot from this window. Our focus is just on doing the drawings correctly so builders don't have a hard time. It’s a simple way of working, but it has served us well over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the job until the day is over and it's time to head home.
