Our shop is tucked away at 34/2 in the Kabutar Khana area of Kalupur. If you’ve ever been down here, you know exactly what it’s like. There are pigeons everywhere and the streets are always packed with people and carts moving goods. It’s one of the oldest parts of the city, and our building definitely shows its age. The walls are a bit stained and the stairs are narrow, but it’s where we’ve been for years. We don’t have much in the way of space inside. It’s mostly just shelves and a small area where we can sit down. The noise from the market outside never really stops, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard. We don’t use any fancy systems or high-tech gear. It’s mostly pen and paper and a lot of memory. The heat in the summer can be tough because the air doesn't move much in these tight alleys, but we have a couple of old fans that do their best. We know almost everyone on this block, from the tea seller to the guys moving the heavy crates. It’s a tight-knit community in a very busy part of town. We just handle our business as it comes, day by day. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the number on the door. It’s a humble place, but it’s ours.
