Raja Traders

Our shop is at M.F. House, D-8 on the first floor. It’s in the New Madhavpura Market on Shahibaug Road. This market is always humming with activity. We are traders, so our day is spent talking to people and checking stock. The building is usually full of people carrying bundles or checking invoices. We have a small space, but we pack a lot into it. There are samples everywhere and the phone doesn't stop ringing. We've been in Madhavpura for a long time now. We know the other traders and the guys who move the goods. It’s a tight-knit community in this market. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just show what we have and tell you the price. It’s a very direct way of doing business. The first floor can get a bit hot in the summer, but we have a good fan to keep us cool. We stay busy from morning till the market closes up. Sometimes we stay late to finish the books. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and making sure the orders are correct before they go out. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just buy and sell and try to keep things fair. It’s a regular trading life on Shahibaug Road and we wouldn't have it any other way.
