Raj Art & Craft

Our place, Raj Art & Craft, is located at B-16, Tulsi Avenue, right behind Deluxe Bearing on National Highway Number 8 in Aslali. Being so close to the highway means there’s a constant drone of heavy vehicles passing by at all hours. It’s a very industrial and dusty part of Ahmedabad, but it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. The building in Tulsi Avenue is quite simple, and we’ve got our workspace set up to handle all the art and craft items we deal with. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect to find delicate crafts, given the surroundings, but we like it here. We spend a lot of time in the back area where the loading and unloading happens. Because we are behind Deluxe Bearing, sometimes people miss the turn-off, but once you know where it is, it’s easy enough to spot. The summers here are incredibly hot, and the tin roofs in the area don't help much, so we use a lot of coolers to stay comfortable while we work. We aren't big on corporate talk or anything like that; we just focus on the items we have and getting them ready for transport. There’s a lot of manual work involved, and our clothes usually end up a bit messy by the end of the shift. It’s just how things go at an Aslali industrial unit.
