You can find Atmaram Modi & Co. on the 1st floor of the New Cloth Market. Our place is at number 21, just outside the Raipur Gate, in this busy area where a lot of cloth trading happens every single day. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away upstairs. The market is always full of stacks of fabric and people moving bales around. Our office is simple, with just enough room for the paperwork and some samples. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls. Most of the time, we are busy talking to traders or checking on the latest stock that comes in. It gets quite loud downstairs with all the carts and voices, but it’s a bit quieter up on the first floor. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the New Cloth Market over the years. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of numbers. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there; we just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big shipment arrives. Being near Raipur Gate makes it easy for people to find us once they know where to look. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just regular ledgers and a few phones. It’s a traditional way of doing business, and it seems to work fine for us and our neighbors here in the market. We have been in this same spot for many years now.
