Radha Krushna Plastic

Radha Krushna Plastic is over at Shop No.28 inside Krishna Estate. If you are familiar with Odhav Gidc, you probably know how many estates are packed together back there. We are situated near Dharnidhar Estate and not too far from Soni Ni Chawl. It is a very industrial part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise from the neighboring factories and vehicles. Our shop is just one of many in the row. We have bags and piles of plastic materials stacked up almost to the ceiling. It is not the kind of place where you come for a fancy meeting. We usually have the fans running full speed because it gets quite hot inside the estate during the afternoon. The floor is usually covered in some scraps or dust, which is just part of working with plastic all day. We spend our time checking the machines and making sure the orders are ready to go out to the customers. The neighbors are mostly other small business owners, and we all kind of look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is a straightforward life here in Odhav. We just focus on the work at hand and don't worry too much about the rest. It is a busy, messy, and honest way for us to make a living in this industrial belt.
