Our office is tucked away in the New Cloth Market, right by the Raipur Gate in Ahmedabad. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets with people buying and selling fabric. Being on the second floor at number 230 3 gives us a bit of a view of the chaos below. It’s a lot of stairs to climb every day, but it keeps us fit. We handle a lot of numbers here. Most of our day is spent looking at ledgers and tax forms. It’s quiet inside compared to the market outside, which is how we like it. We aren't a big corporate firm with glass walls and fancy suits. We’re just local accountants helping out the shop owners and businesses around the gate. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just part of life in Ahmedabad. We’ve been in this market for years, and we’ve seen businesses grow from small stalls to big operations. It’s nice being part of that history. We don't have a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from the papers to say hello. It’s a busy life, especially around tax season when the light stays on late into the evening. But we enjoy being right here in the thick of the trade. The tea man knows exactly when we need our afternoon break without us even asking him.
