Pritesh Patel

I've been teaching here at F/1 in the Shreeji Complex for a few years now. Most people know the Bajaj showroom or the Honest Restaurant on K K Nagar Road, and we are right there, opposite Mandakini Society. It’s a convenient spot in Ahmedabad for the students who live in the nearby blocks. I usually handle most of the sessions myself, though sometimes I have someone help with the younger kids when things get busy. It’s a small place, nothing too grand, just a couple of rooms where we can sit and go over daily lessons. I started doing this because I liked explaining things to people, and it just grew into a full-time job. The road outside can get pretty busy during the evening rush hour, but inside it stays fairly quiet for the students. I keep a few extra chairs in the corner for when parents want to wait. We don't do any big advertising or anything; it’s mostly just people in the neighborhood talking to each other. I spend a lot of time preparing my own notes by hand because I think it helps me teach the material better. There’s a lot of tea drinking and looking over old exam papers during the breaks. I try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so the kids don't feel too much pressure. It’s just me, Pritesh, doing what I know how to do. Some days are slow, while other days the place is full of energy.
