We are located on the ground floor of Larose Apartment, which is a bit of a hide and seek game to find if you are not from around here. You have to go behind Pink Apartment near Fernandes Wadi to spot us. It is a quiet pocket of Seven Bunglows in Andheri West, away from the loud main road. The workspace is usually full of old fridge shells and copper tubing. There is a specific smell of grease and coolant that never really leaves the room. Most days, the floor is covered in tools like wrenches and screwdrivers because we are always in the middle of taking something apart. It is not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where every spare gasket and compressor is kept. We get a lot of walk-ins from the neighbors who have a leaking fridge or an AC that stopped blowing cold air. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them, and there is a small desk in the corner where the bills get scribbled out by hand. Outside, you can hear the birds in the trees of the wadi and the occasional scooter passing by. It stays pretty cool inside because of the stone floors, which is good because Andheri gets so humid. We just sit here, drink our tea, and fix what needs fixing. It is a simple setup, and it has been that way for a long time now. We just do the work.
