Prakash Plastic Packaging

Our factory is located at Plot No. 174/7 in Phase-I of the GIDC Estate in Naroda. We are right behind the Calama building, which is how most people find us. Prakash Plastic Packaging is a place that smells like warm plastic and looks like a lot of hard work. The machines run for most of the day, making a steady humming sound that you get used to after an hour or so. We have big rolls of material stacked up in the corners and finished bags ready for shipping near the door. The floor is concrete and can get pretty hot in the summer months. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; the manager just has a small cabin with a window looking out over the production floor. Most of our workers live nearby and have been with us for a long time. We don't do much advertising because we’re usually busy enough with the orders we already have. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everyone has to stop and help fix it, which can be a real mess. But we usually get things running again pretty quick. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the plastic shaped right and getting the counts correct before they go out.
