Petro Valves

Out here in Rakhial, specifically at the Patel Mehta Estate, is where you’ll find us. We are at unit number 7. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s always a bit noisy with all the trucks moving in and out on Nagarvel Hanuman Road. Petro Valves has been operating from this shed for quite some time now. We make valves, mostly for industrial use. It’s greasy work sometimes and the floors aren't always spotless, but that’s the nature of a workshop. We spend most of our time at the lathes or checking the pressure seals on the finished pieces. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a lot of metal and tools. The team is small, just a handful of us who have been doing this for years. We know the machines pretty well by now. If a machine breaks down, we usually fix it ourselves. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, especially in the summer months, but we just keep the fans running and push through. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. If you come by, you'll likely see us in our work clothes, probably middle of a job. We just try to make sure every valve that leaves here is solid. There’s no big secret to what we do, just repetitive work and making sure the measurements are right every single time. It’s a decent living and keeps us busy from morning till evening. We aren't really into big advertisements, most people just find us through word of mouth or walking past the gate.
