Our office is in Sukhrali, near the Punjab National Bank on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road. It’s a busy spot, and we spend most of our time out in the field anyway. We deal with all kinds of pests—bugs, rats, you name it. It isn't exactly glamorous work, but someone has to do it. We carry around a lot of heavy sprayers and chemicals in the back of the vans. Most days, we’re crawling under sinks or checking dark corners in warehouses. We’ve seen just about every kind of infestation you can imagine in this part of town. The office is where we keep the supplies and handle the phone calls from people who are usually pretty stressed out. We try to get to everyone as fast as we can, but the traffic on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road can be a real headache. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just come in, find where the problem is, and try to fix it so it doesn't come back. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of checking traps. Some days are hotter than others, especially when we have to wear the full protective gear. We just take it one house at a time. It's honest work, even if it's a bit messy sometimes. We keep the equipment clean and wait for the next call to come in. Every week we have to restock the chemicals and check all the spray nozzles to make sure they aren't clogged.
