We’ve been over here on N.G.R. Layout Road for a while now. The shop is at 5/8, 3Rd Cross. Most days it's just the sound of machines running and people dropping off bits and cutters that have seen better days. It gets pretty dusty in here, but that's just part of the job when you're working on tools. We take things that are dull or worn out and try to get them back into working shape so people don't have to go out and buy brand new stuff every time. It’s practical work. My hands are usually covered in some kind of oil by lunchtime. Rupena is a busy enough spot, and we get all sorts of folks coming through the door. Some are regulars who know exactly where the spare parts are kept, others are just stopping by because they heard we can fix what they broke. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. We spend our time looking at edges and making sure everything is aligned right. Sometimes the old machines act up, but we know their quirks by now. If you're looking for us, just head down 3Rd Cross and look for the sign near the corner. We stay busy with the reconditioning work because there's always something that needs a bit of attention. It’s steady, honest work that keeps us on our toes every day.
