Peekay Synthetics (India)

Our shop, Peekay Synthetics (India), is tucked away in M.S. Makkal Lane, right off Batala Road. It’s one of those spots that you might miss if you aren't looking for it. The lane is narrow and always has something going on. We deal with synthetic materials, so our warehouse space is usually packed to the ceiling with stock. It can get a bit cramped when a new delivery comes in. Batala Road is a busy stretch, and we’ve been operating from this location for quite a while now. The building is basic—just bricks and concrete, really—and we use every inch of it. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of salespeople. It’s mostly just us answering the phone and helping whoever walks through the door. The floor is usually covered in scraps or dust from the materials, but that’s just part of the job. We know most of the other shop owners on the lane. It’s a local feel where everyone knows your name. We don't try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We sell synthetics and we try to be fair about it. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, while other days we can barely keep up with the loading. It’s just a normal way to run a business on M.S. Makkal Lane and we hope to stay here for many more years. There is always a lot of heavy lifting involved.
