Patni Computer Systems Ltd is based out here in Ahmedabad. We’ve been part of the Gujarat tech scene for a long time. Our office isn't about those fancy glass buildings you see in the movies. It’s a practical place where people come to work on computers and solve problems. Ahmedabad is a hot city, especially in the summer, so our air conditioning is always humming in the background. We spend a lot of our time looking at screens and typing away. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We have people from all over the city coming in every morning. The break room usually has some snacks and the smell of coffee. We don't have those big motivational posters on the walls. We just have our tasks and we get through them one by one. Sometimes there’s a bit of a scramble when a project is due, and you’ll see people staying late. We know the local food spots around the office where we go for lunch. It’s a very standard office life. We deal with data and code and all that stuff, but at the end of the day, we’re just a bunch of people working in Gujarat. We don't use a lot of big words to describe ourselves. We just say we’re the Patni team in Ahmedabad and we’re here to get the computer work done. It’s simple, steady work that keeps us busy from Monday to Friday.
