We've been here in Sanand for a while now, right next to Bhikabhai Shakwala. Most people know the spot because it's so close to the Taluka Panchayat office. It is a busy little area with people always coming and going. We sell shoes and sandals, mostly just everyday stuff that people around here need for their daily lives. You know how it is, everyone needs a decent pair of slippers or shoes for work and getting around the town. We keep the shop open pretty regular hours. It is not a huge place, but we try to keep enough stock so people find their size without too much trouble. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and things get a bit messy in the back, but that is just how it goes in a small shop. We have seen kids grow up coming here for their school shoes and then coming back years later for something else. It feels good being part of the neighborhood like that. If you are walking past the vegetable market or heading to the panchayat, you will see our sign. It isn't anything fancy or modern. We just focus on having stuff that lasts a bit and doesn't cost too much money. We deal with all kinds of customers, from farmers to office workers. Some days it is quiet and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, other days it is a bit of a rush. We don't really do big advertisements. People just find us.
