Paraj Organics

Our shop is number three on the ground floor of Astha Apartment. It is a pretty easy place to find once you are in the Bodkhdev area of Vastrapur. We are right opposite Sandesh Press, which is a big landmark around here. Most days start with opening up the shutters and sweeping the front step. The ground floor stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is a relief. Being in Vastrapur means there is always something going on outside. You can hear the noise from the street, but inside it stays mostly quiet. We have some shelves lined up with our stock and a small counter where we handle things. The Astha Apartment has been here for a long time. Sometimes the parking out front gets a little crowded because of the other shops, so I usually park my scooter a bit further down the lane. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy decorations or big signs. Just the basics to keep Paraj Organics running. I like being across from the press because it feels like we are in the middle of where things happen in Ahmedabad. Every morning I see the delivery trucks moving and it gets me in the mood to start my own work. We just take it one day at a time here, stocking the shelves and talking to anyone who stops by the door. It is a good little spot for us.
