Down in Chawri Bazar, at 3994 Raghu Ganj, you’ll find us. It’s a crowded part of the city, and the lanes are narrow, but it’s where we’ve always been. P. J. Enterprises isn’t some high-rise office with glass walls. We are right in the middle of the old market energy. There’s always the sound of carts being pulled and people shouting out orders. Our space is packed with files and ledgers, and there isn't much room to move around if more than two people are standing in the same spot. It’s honest work. We deal with whatever comes in that day. The building is old, and you can feel the history in the walls. Sometimes the heat in the summer is a lot to handle, but we keep the fans going. We know the other shopkeepers around Raghu Ganj, and we often have a quick tea with them on the curb. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours. We don’t spend money on big signs or advertising. People find us because we’ve been here for years. Every morning we open up the shutters and start again. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and it’s usually quite hectic, but that is just the way Chawri Bazar is. We wouldn’t really know how to work anywhere else after all this time in the heart of the market. It's just a regular local business doing its thing.
