Orient Impex

Orient Impex has been operating out of number 124 on Old Rohtak Road for as long as I can remember. We are right in the middle of the Kishan Ganj Market, so it is always loud and there’s always someone shouting or a horn honking outside. It’s the kind of place where you have to dodge carts and rickshaws just to get to the front door. Our office is small and filled with stacks of papers and samples of things we move. We mostly handle trading and getting goods from one place to another. It sounds more complicated than it is, really. Mostly it’s just making sure the right boxes get to the right people. Being in the market means we are close to everything, which is good because things happen fast around here. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If people want to know what we have, they usually just drop by or give us a call on the landline. We drink a lot of tea while going over ledgers and talking to the transporters. It gets dusty being so close to the road, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We know all the other shopkeepers around here, and we’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, but our little spot stays pretty much the same. It’s just a regular business doing regular things.
