Mettur Road is always busy so getting into the office can be a bit of a hassle in the mornings. We are in Sri Ezhil House, inside the Yalley Building at number 223. It’s a solid old building. We spend most of our time dealing with systems and hardware. There are cables everywhere and sometimes it’s hard to find a clean spot on the table to put a lunch box. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a big receptionist or anything like that. If you come in, you just see us working. We get a lot of locals dropping by because they know where the building is. It’s a landmark of sorts in this part of town. The air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise but it keeps the machines cool which is the main thing we care about. We keep a stack of old magazines in the corner for no real reason. It’s just a practical space for practical work. Most of the day is spent troubleshooting or setting things up for folks who need it. We like the area because you can get good food just a few doors down. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s our work and we just get on with it every single day without making a big fuss or using fancy words for what we do.
