Working at Ongc Ltd. is different for everyone, but for us here at this site, it’s mostly about the daily routine. The address is just the name because everyone knows where we are. It’s a big site with a lot of heavy machinery and people in high-visibility jackets walking around. It can be quite loud with the engines and the sounds of the equipment running all day and night. We have different shifts, so the place never really sleeps. Some of us are in the office handling the logs and others are out on the field making sure everything is running like it’s supposed to. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of grease and dust, and you have to be careful where you walk. We have a cafeteria where we all sit down together, and it’s usually the loudest place on the property. We don't talk much about the big company goals while we're working. We mostly just focus on the gauges and the pipes in front of us. It’s a lot of responsibility because things have to stay safe. We’ve had guys working here for twenty years who know every bolt by heart. It’s a community of workers. We wear uniforms because it’s practical. At the end of the day, we’re just a group of people making sure the energy keeps flowing. It's hard work, and we go home tired, but that's just part of it.
