Nirav Book Agency

Our agency is located on Gandhi Road, right near the Central Bank. It’s a convenient spot because everyone knows where the bank is, so we don't have to give complicated directions very often. Nirav Book Agency isn't a retail shop where you'd come to browse for hours. It’s more of a hub where we handle a lot of bulk stuff and distribution. The floor is usually covered in cardboard boxes and packing tape. We spend most of our mornings unloading bundles from the trucks and the afternoons sorting them out for different places. It’s hard work on the back, but we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a telephone that never seems to stop ringing. We keep the doors open mostly to let some air in, so you might hear the traffic from Gandhi Road all day long. It gets pretty dusty, and we are always looking for a broom. We aren't fancy people. We wear comfortable clothes because we are always moving things around. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to sit around drinking tea until they show up. It's a steady life, just making sure the books get to where they are supposed to go. We don't have any big signs or posters, just our work and the boxes.
