J P Publication

Being in Shree Kunj Shopping Center means we see a lot of foot traffic. It’s number 82, right on KK Nagar Road. If you know where Prabhat Chowk is, we are just a short walk from there. J P Publication is a small operation. We spend most of our time looking at manuscripts and proof sheets. The shop is a bit cramped because of all the books and files piled up. Ghatlodiya is a busy area, so it’s rarely quiet outside. We’ve been here for several years. People come in looking for specific titles or asking about printing their own work. We aren't a giant house, just a local spot. Sometimes the AC doesn't work right in the summer, which makes for long afternoons. We do our own editing and layout work right here at the back desk. It’s a lot of sitting and reading. My nephew helps out on weekends when things get hectic. We don't have a website that works well, so people mostly just call or stop by. It’s better that way, honestly. You get to talk to people face to face. We handle school books, local guides, and sometimes poetry. It’s not glamorous work but it keeps the lights on. The shop opens at ten, but I’m usually here earlier to clear the mail. If the door is open, just come in and wait a minute if I'm in the back. There is usually tea.
