Our office is up on the fifth floor of the Corporate Tower at Doctor House. If you know the Parimal Crossing in Ahmedabad, you know it's a busy spot. From our windows, we can see the traffic moving all day long. We work on herbal sciences, which sounds a bit technical, but really it's about trying to use what nature gives us. The lab area is tucked away in the back, while the front part is where we handle all the paperwork and phone calls. It’s a bright space, mostly because of the large windows. We moved here a while ago because it’s a central location and easy for people to find. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow, so we end up waiting around and chatting with the people from the other floors. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. We are a smaller team that cares about getting the science right. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and checking data. It’s quiet work most of the time, punctuated by the hum of the air conditioner. We keep a few plants in the office to remind us of why we do what we do. It’s a steady routine of testing, recording, and planning our next steps. We just focus on doing things carefully and making sure the results are what they need to be. It’s a good place to work.
