Navkar Decorators is situated at 12 Sukh Sagar Complex. We are right behind the Usmanpura Petrol Pump. It’s a handy landmark because everyone knows where that petrol pump is. We have been in Usmanpura for a long time. Mostly we handle the decorations for weddings and parties. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric, lights, and all the metal frames we use to build the stages. It looks like a bit of a mess to an outsider but we know where everything is kept. My father started this and now we just carry it on. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in after seeing our sign near the petrol pump. We spend a lot of time out at the sites setting things up. It’s heavy work moving all those poles and curtains in the heat. Sometimes the fabric gets a tear and we have to stitch it up right there on the spot. We are not a big corporate team. We are just a few guys who know how to make a hall look ready for a party. When it’s the wedding season we hardly sleep at all. We just go from one job to the next. It’s tiring but it’s what we do. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we say we will be there at five o'clock, we try our best to make it.
