Navchetan International Event Management

We've been over at Mahalaxmi Centre in Maninagar for a while now. Most people know the spot because it’s right by Ramkrushna Party Plot on the Rambaug side. Running Navchetan International Event Management keeps us on our toes every single day. It is usually pretty loud and busy in here, especially when wedding season hits or when local festivals start coming around. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different venues across Ahmedabad. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure chairs arrive on time and that the lights actually turn on when they are supposed to. Sometimes things go wrong, like a vendor being late, and we just have to figure it out quickly. We aren't a huge fancy office with a lobby; it’s just us working at our desks. If you walk into 1-A, you’ll probably see stacks of papers and maybe some sample fabrics lying around. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the local streets well. It's a tough job sometimes because people get stressed about their parties, but we just keep at it. We handle all sorts of stuff, from small family get-togethers to larger gatherings. It is basically just a group of us who enjoy putting things together and seeing them actually happen. We are usually here late if there's a big show the next morning. It’s just how it goes in this business.
