N. R. Exports

N. R. Exports is over at New No. 171 on Swami Naaicken Street in Chintadripet. The address can be a bit confusing for new visitors because the old number was 75, and some of the older locals still use that when they give directions. The street is quite narrow, and it’s tucked away in a part of the city that feels very old and lived-in. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a plain front with a heavy door. Inside, there are stacks of boxes ready to be shipped out and a couple of old desks where we do the ledger work. The air in Chintadripet always feels a bit heavy, especially in the summer months when the humidity is really high. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. Most of the people working here have lived in this neighborhood their whole lives. We don't have a website or a big marketing team; we just deal with the people who know us and have been doing business with us for years. Sometimes the street gets flooded during the heavy rains, and we have to move everything off the floor, which is a real pain. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we don't feel the need to make it look like something it isn't. Just a small export house in an old part of town where everyone knows everyone else’s business.
