Mortek Machinery Private Limited is located at No. 3206 in Phase 4 of the GIDC industrial area in Vatva. This part of Ahmedabad is really busy with all sorts of manufacturing. Our place is basically a big shed where we keep the machines and do the heavy lifting. It can get quite hot inside when the machines are running, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We don't have a bunch of salespeople in suits. Most of us are usually wearing work clothes and have grease on our hands by lunchtime. We handle different kinds of machinery and parts. The floor is often covered with metal shavings or crates waiting to be shipped out. We’ve been in this spot for a while and we know the neighbors well. If someone needs a part or a machine fixed, they just come over and talk to us. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or things like that. The work we do speaks for itself when the machines are running properly at a site. The GIDC roads are always full of tempo trucks and delivery vans, so there’s a constant hum of activity outside our doors. It’s a straightforward business. We show up early, get the machines ready, and try to get through the orders before the sun goes down. It is honest work in a tough environment. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here. It is a lot of work but it feels good to see the machines shipped out.
