We are over here in Naroda at Plot No. 417/5/A. If you know the GIDC Phase-I area, we’re right near Ingersoll Rand on the main road. It’s a busy spot with trucks going by all day. Ambica Cranes Pvt. Ltd. has been around this part of Ahmedabad for a good while now. Most days it’s just us handling the heavy stuff, making sure the cranes are ready and the work gets done. There is always a lot of traffic on the main road, but we manage. People stop by sometimes just to ask directions because we’re easy to find near the big landmarks. Working with cranes isn’t exactly quiet work. It takes a lot of space and a lot of maintenance. Our workshop here is usually full of grease, tools, and heavy steel parts. We started out small and just kept at it year after year. The guys on the floor know their way around these machines better than anyone. It isn’t fancy office work. We get our hands dirty every single day. Being in an industrial estate like this means there is always something happening next door. We know the neighbors and they know us. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the job at hand. No one here wears a suit. We just put on our boots and get to work as soon as the sun comes up. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it is what we know.
