Micronet Computers

We have been at 4 Krishna Bhavan for a long time now. Being right opposite the Municipal School in Old Vadaj means we see a lot of kids and teachers walking by every single day. Ashram Road is always moving, never quiet. Micronet Computers is basically just a room filled with boxes, monitors, and that smell of warm electronics. It is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Usually, it's just one of us at the desk and someone else working on a motherboard in the back. We do a lot of repairs. People bring in computers that are older than some of the students across the street. We try to get them running again because not everyone can just go out and buy a brand new machine. It gets dusty, so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning out fans and vents. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It's a local business through and through. We know most of the people who walk in by their first names. If you are looking for a big showroom with bright lights and suits, this isn't it. We have mismatched chairs and a lot of cables everywhere. But we know where everything is. It works for us and it works for the people in Old Vadaj who need their computers fixed without a lot of talking. We like it that way.
