Micro Impex

Micro Impex is located over at Pushpadant Niwas, which is on Chunam Lane. It’s just off Lamington Road in Grant Road East. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it’s packed with shops and people looking for parts. We fit right in. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of inventory into the shelves. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find anything, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. We deal with imports and various small components. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. It’s a lot of grit and hard work. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s home for us. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just know our products. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the street gets flooded during the monsoon, and we just light a candle and wait it out. It’s just part of being in Grant Road. We like the energy here. People are always looking for a deal or a specific part that no one else has. We try to be the ones who have it. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we meet. It’s just us, every single day, doing our best to keep the stock moving.
