Meridian Leather Exports

We are located in Periamet at Door No. 7 on M. V. Badran Street. Meridian Leather Exports takes up the second floor there at number 13. Periamet is well known for leather, so it makes sense that we are here. The building is older, and you can smell the leather as soon as you get near the street. Our floor is usually piled with samples and stacks of documents for export. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend a lot of time checking the hides and making sure the colors match what was asked for. It isn't a clean, white-glove kind of job. Your hands get a bit dirty and the air is heavy. We work with various clients, but we run things like a local shop. There are no big fancy conference rooms here. We usually just sit around a big table covered in leather scraps to talk things over. M. V. Badran Street is narrow, so when we get a big delivery, it’s always a struggle to get the truck in. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years and know most of the other exporters around here. It’s a tight community. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the leather ready for shipping. It is steady work that requires a lot of looking at small details and hoping the weather stays dry for transport.
