We are situated at Plot No 3 on Road No 1 in the Kathwada GIDC area. It’s a pretty standard industrial layout here with lots of units lined up. Mehta Cad Cam Systems Pvt Ltd has been operating from this location for quite some time now. Most people know the GIDC area can be quite hectic during the day with all the loading and unloading going on. Our building is a practical space designed for what we do, which is working with CAD and CAM systems. We have a mix of office space for the design work and floor space for the machines. It’s usually quite noisy when the equipment is running, so we’ve gotten used to talking over the hum of the machines. The team here is a group of local guys and some experts who have been in the trade for decades. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see someone at a computer or working on a machine part. We take our lunches together usually, and that’s when we talk about the work or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a busy life in Kathwada, but we like it this way. The work keeps us on our toes and there is always something new to figure out with the technology we use. We just take it one day at a time and do the work.
