Meena Sound & Decorator

Right across from Ganga Jamna Society in Danilimda, you’ll find Meena Sound & Decorator. We are located near the B R Somani High School and just behind Swaminarayan College. Our place is a bit of a mix. One side is full of the usual decoration stuff like poles and fabrics, but the other side is where we keep the sound equipment. We have speakers, amplifiers, and miles of tangled black cables. It’s a lot to manage. Usually, our mornings are spent testing the mics and making sure the speakers didn't get damaged at the last event. It’s a noisy business, especially when we’re checking the bass levels. We work a lot of late nights because that’s when the parties are happening. When the music is playing and the lights are on, that’s when our work is really tested. We aren't polished public speakers; we are the guys in the background making sure the sound doesn't cut out during a speech. The neighborhood is busy, so we have to be careful when we’re loading our gear into the vans so we don't block the road. People come to us because we’ve been in Danilimda for years and they know where to find us if something goes wrong. We don't have a big mission statement. We just want the speakers to work and the decorations to stay standing until the party is over. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and technical troubleshooting, but it’s our life.
