Meena Decorator

Meena Decorator is located right opposite Ganga Jamna Society in Danilimda. We are tucked in near the B R Somani High School and behind Swaminarayan College. Our work is mostly physical and happens outdoors. We deal with tents, chairs, stage backdrops, and all the things needed to make a bare ground look like a party. Our warehouse space is usually a mess of iron pipes, rolls of colorful cloth, and bundles of carpets. It’s a lot of loading and unloading. We don’t have a fancy showroom to show off designs. Instead, we show people photos of what we did at the last wedding or school function. Being near the college and the school means there is always some event happening nearby. We work in the heat and sometimes in the rain, trying to get the structures up before the guests show up. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get calloused from the ropes and your clothes are always stained with dust. We don’t have a big marketing plan; we just try to do what we promised for the people in Danilimda. Sometimes a pole breaks or a curtain is the wrong color, and we have to fix it on the fly. It’s a bit of a chaotic life, but we’ve been doing it long enough to know how to handle the pressure. It’s just about getting the job done so the event can finally start.
