Manubhai & Company (Chartered Accountants) is our firm, and you can find us at 3196, Vora Ni Khadki in the Shahpur area. It is interesting because while the address says Uttar Pradesh on some of our papers, the pin code 380001 is definitely for the heart of old Ahmedabad. We have been working out of this khadki for a long time. It’s a very traditional neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of local activity. Our office fits right in. It’s an older building, and we don't have any of those modern glass partitions or shiny floors. It’s just rooms filled with paper files and a few computers. We handle all the typical chartered accountant tasks like audits and tax returns. The noise from the street usually drifts in, but we are so used to it that we don't even notice anymore. Most of our clients are people from around the neighborhood who have been coming to us for decades. They know where the door is. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. We just sit down, look at the documents, and try to get everything filed on time. It is a very practical way to work, and we like being part of the community here.
