M Y Handicrafts

Our little spot is at 12A/50M in Jamalu Ka Bagh. It’s tucked away in Maujpur, Gali No. 2. If you aren't looking for it, you might miss us. M Y Handicrafts is mostly just a few rooms filled with materials. We have fabric, thread, and tools everywhere. It’s crowded, but we know where everything is. Mostly. Sometimes things get buried under a pile of work. We spend our hours sitting and making things by hand. It’s slow work. My fingers get sore sometimes. There’s always someone talking or a radio playing in the background. Gali No. 2 is always noisy with kids playing or neighbors chatting. We don’t have a big storefront with lights. It’s just us doing what we’ve done for years. Some days we finish a lot, other days we just fix mistakes. It’s not like a factory where everything is perfect. Every piece has its own look. We see the same people every day. The light in the workshop isn't the best in the evening, so we try to do the hard bits while the sun is up. It’s a simple life in Maujpur. We aren't trying to sell you a dream, just these things we make. It’s just us, the materials, and the time it takes to put them together. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait. That’s just part of it.
