We are based in Westend Park, over in the Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad. Our spot is at D 14, right near the Gurudwara. It’s a nice area, and having the Gurudwara nearby gives it a bit of a peaceful feeling even when the streets are busy with people. The office at Lightningcognitions is pretty basic. We have our computers set up and enough chairs for everyone, though we usually end up pulling chairs from one room to another for meetings. It’s not a fancy tech startup office with beanbags or a game room. It’s just a place where we do our work. We focus on info-tech stuff, which basically means we spend all day looking at code or fixing digital problems. The lighting in the office is a bit bright, and the kitchen area is mostly just a kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon slump. We are a small group, so we all know each other well and know how everyone likes their coffee. We talk about regular things like the weather or where to get the best lunch nearby while we work. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and try to make sure we don't miss any deadlines. It’s a simple life here at the office, and we like it that way. No drama, just work and the occasional office joke to keep things moving.
