Being so close to the bus stand means it is always noisy and lively around here, with people coming and going at all hours. Our office is tucked right into the flats, so it has more of a homey feel to it instead of being some cold, empty corporate building. We have been at this 380 009 zip code for a good long time now. Most of our staff knows the best local food spots around Navrangpura by heart. Inside the office, it is just us at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. trying to stay on top of all the projects. We have a few rooms that are usually filled with technical drawings and project schedules. It gets a bit crowded when the whole team is in at the same time, but we managed to make it work. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is lucky given how hot Ahmedabad gets in the summer. We do not have a front desk person to greet you; usually, whoever is sitting closest to the door just looks up and says hello. It is a very practical way to run things. We are not looking to impress anyone with big logos or shiny floors. We just want to get the daily work done. It is a decent place to work, and we all know each other’s names.
