Krishna Books House

We’ve been running Krishna Books House for a while now. You can find us at Plot No. 23 on the first floor of Arvind Estate. It’s right near the Purvadeep BRTS bus stop on N.H. No. 8, close to the Ctm Cross Road. We keep a lot of different books here. Most people just drop by when they are passing the highway. It’s a busy area but we try to keep things organized on our shelves. My brother and I manage the daily work, unpacking boxes and checking what’s in stock. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is around here. We have everything from school texts to some novels. If you’re coming from the bus stop, it’s just a short walk. We don't have a big fancy sign, but the estate is easy enough to spot once you get to the cross road. We spend most of our mornings sorting through new arrivals. It’s not a huge space, just the one floor, so it gets crowded when we get a big shipment in. We usually have tea around four if things are quiet. If you need a specific book, we probably have it tucked away somewhere in the back. We try to remember where everything is without using a computer much. It works for us.
