We are located in the basement of Varun Apartment in Vasant Baugh. It’s right near the IDBI Bank and across from the Gulbai Tekra pumping station. It can be a little tricky to find us the first time since we're downstairs. The basement stays fairly cool, but we still have a few fans going. The space is filled with old computer towers and various cables hanging from hooks on the wall. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself. It’s not a large operation. It’s mostly just me and occasionally one other person helping out. We have a small area where we keep the tools and the soldering iron. The lighting is a bit dim, so I have a desk lamp that I move around. We see a lot of people from the Ellisbridge area. Some of them have been coming to us for years. I have a lot of spare parts stored in old cardboard boxes under the tables. It’s not the most organized system, but I generally know where everything is. The entrance is a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when bringing in big boxes. We don't do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we're here in the basement. It’s a quiet place to work, which I like. I usually have a cup of coffee sitting somewhere on my desk, often cold because I forgot to drink it.
