Arbuda Hardware & Paints

Our shop is at No. 23/210 in Rajendra Park. Being right on the Cross Road in Amraiwadi means we are in the middle of everything. It’s a hardware and paint store, so there is always a bit of dust and the smell of fresh cans. We’ve got shelves stacked high with all sorts of things. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We don’t have a computer system that tracks every single nail. It’s mostly just us knowing where we put things. The front door stays open most of the day to let a breeze in. Amraiwadi is a lively area with lots of houses being fixed up. We see people from the park area coming in for supplies every morning. My hands are usually stained with some kind of paint or grease by noon. It’s a local business through and through. We aren't some big chain store with matching uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The building is a bit older, and the paint on our own sign is starting to fade. It doesn't matter much as long as we have what people need. We’ve been here for a long time and we know the locals by name. It’s a decent way to spend the day. We just keep the shop running and help out whoever walks through the door. It is what it is, and we like it that way.
