Modesty Opticals

Modesty Opticals is right across from Hiramoti Chambers in the Khadia Golwad area. It’s an old part of the city, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the buildings around here. We’ve been in this exact spot for a long time. The street is narrow and always full of people, bicycles, and scooters making a lot of noise. Inside the shop, we have rows of glasses on the walls. It’s a very simple setup. We don't have a big neon sign or anything flashy like that. People in the neighborhood know where we are. We spend a lot of time adjusting frames and talking to the people who live nearby. Most of our work is just fixing things that people have accidentally sat on or dropped. We don't carry the super expensive designer brands you might find in a big mall downtown. We mostly have practical, sturdy frames that people can actually afford for their daily lives. It gets a bit dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters with a cloth. The shop is small, so if three or four people come in at the same time, it feels very crowded. We don't mind, though. It’s nice to have the company and hear the local gossip. Sometimes we close up early if things are dead, or stay open late if someone needs their glasses urgently. It’s just a basic shop.
