If you head down to the GIDC area in Kathwada and look for Plot No. 338, that is where we are located. The industrial estate is always full of activity and noise. You can hear the sounds of other factories nearby all day long. We have been here for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit. Inside our building, it’s mostly technical stuff going on. We have our workstations set up and wires running across the floor in some places because we are always testing things. It is not the cleanest place in the world, especially with the dust that comes off the industrial roads, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and fixing parts. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us go during the break to get away from the hum of the machines for a few minutes. It is a bit of a commute for some of us, but we are used to it by now. The office isn't very big, so we end up talking to each other across the room instead of using phones. It’s a simple setup. We come in, do what needs to be done, and head home when the shift is over. There’s always something to fix or a problem to solve at the bench. The power flickers sometimes, but we just keep going and finish our work.
