Shree Vardayini Handicraft

We are located in the Kalupur area, specifically near Doshiwada Ni Pole on Tankshal Road. It’s a very old part of the city with narrow streets. You have to be careful walking around because of the scooters and people everywhere. Our shop is at 73/12. We deal with various handicrafts. Most of the things we have are made by local artisans. The space is quite cramped because we have so many items tucked into every corner. It smells like wood and cloth inside. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. People come here looking for traditional stuff. We spend a lot of time dusting the shelves because the street dust comes in through the door. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know most of the shopkeepers on the lane. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s not too busy. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it quite warm. We don't really have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people walking by or hearing about us from others. It’s how things have always been done in this market. It gets very crowded during the festivals, and we stay open later than usual then. We keep a small notebook for all our sales and scribbles. The front door squeaks whenever someone walks in.
