Kalp Shree Enterprise

Kalp Shree Enterprise is based in Vrundavan Market, at shop number 17. We are right opposite Patel Market in Sakar Bazar, which is in the Kalupur area. It’s one of the oldest and busiest parts of the city. The lanes are very narrow and always filled with carts and people carrying heavy goods on their heads. Our shop is small and packed with stock from floor to ceiling. We have to use a tall wooden ladder to reach the things on the top shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. Kalupur is a loud place, with vendors shouting and the smell of the market everywhere. We’ve been in this market for many years now. We know the other shopkeepers well and we often share snacks in the afternoon. We don't have a computer system here. All our accounts are kept in thick red books with yellow pages. It’s the way we’ve always done it and it works fine. We don't have a fancy sign or anything to attract attention. People who need us know we are here. The shop gets quite dusty because of the open front and the traffic, so we spend the first half hour every morning dusting everything off. It’s a lot of work just staying organized in such a small space. We don't have any big goals to expand or move. We just like being part of Sakar Bazar.
