K. H. Malviya & Co.

K. H. Malviya & Co. is located at B- 30 in the Guru Rajendra Estate. We are right near the Odhav Fire Station on Ambicanagar Road. Being near the fire station means we hear sirens pretty often, which reminds us of the busy world outside our gates. The estate is a large place, and our unit is just one of many where people are making things. We have a decent amount of space, but it’s mostly taken up by raw materials and the benches where we do our work. Odhav can get incredibly hot in the summer, so we have a couple of large industrial fans that we keep running non-stop to stay cool. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks from the heavy crates we move around. We don't really have a reception area, so if you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up in the back. It’s a straightforward operation here. We handle the orders as they come in and try to stay organized, though the paperwork does tend to pile up on the small wooden desk near the entrance. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't bad. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too crazy. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do and we keep at it.
