Jil Exports

Our office for Jil Exports is tucked away in New Govind Park Soc., over in the Vijaynagar part of Naranpura. It’s more of a residential neighborhood than a business district, which we actually like because it’s a bit quieter in the mornings. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. Most of the people living around here know us by name. The space itself is on the ground floor, so it's easy to move boxes in and out when we have shipments going out. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the narrow streets, which usually causes a bit of a stir with the neighbors, but everyone is used to it by now. Inside, it’s mostly just a few desks and a lot of packing tape and cardboard. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and notes we’ve stuck up over the years. The air conditioner is a bit loud and clunky, but it keeps the heat away during the afternoon slump. We spend most of our time checking over lists and making sure everything is labeled right before it goes out. It’s not very exciting work for most people, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and get the exports handled. It feels more like a small family setup than a proper company office most days, which suits us just fine.
