Jewellery Makers

Over in Bapu Nagar, you’ll find our little place called Jewellery Makers. We don’t have a fancy building or a big glass front. It’s just a simple room where we sit and put things together. Bapu Nagar is a busy place, and there’s always the sound of scooters and people talking outside the window. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so our tools are getting a bit worn out, but they still work just fine. We don't use any high-tech gadgets; it’s mostly just pliers, files, and a lot of focus. Sometimes my eyes get tired from looking at the small bits all day. We don't have a boss in a suit telling us what to do. We just know what needs to be finished by the end of the week. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. There’s dust on the shelves and the tea cups are always half-full. We don't make big promises about being the best because that sounds like something a salesman would say. We just make the jewelry and hope people like it enough to tell their friends. It’s a local shop through and through. Nothing fancy, just honest work done by people who live right nearby. We like the rhythm of the day here. It's nothing special to anyone else, but it's our daily life and we're used to it. We keep our heads down and just work.
